Penn State Women¡¯s Golf Ready to Defend Peggy Kirk Bell Classic Invitational Title
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. (Mar. 7, 2004) The Penn State women¡¯s golf team and 13 other schools from across the country will start competition at the 29th annual Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational beginning at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs, Fla. Penn State won the event last year with a two-round score of 607. Rollins will host the event, which also includes Florida Southern, Georgetown, James Madison, Lynn, Miami (Fla.), Minnesota, North Carolina-Greensboro, Northern Illinois, Nova Southeastern, Southern Illinois, Stetson and William & Mary. The first day of the event will include 36 holes of action with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday¡¯s final day will consist of 18 holes with tee times starting at 8:15 a.m. The Nittany Lions finished 15th at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic two weekends ago, but they were snowed-out of the Edwin Watts Carolina Classic last weekend.
