PINEHURST, N.C. (Feb. 28, 2004) The Penn State women¡¯s golf team will make the trip back up to State College without participating in the Edwin Watts Carolina Classic. The tournament was canceled Saturday afternoon after it was determined snow would not melt in time to get the event underway on Sunday.

Six inches fell in the Pinehurst, N.C. area Thursday night into Friday. The event was originally scheduled to get underway on Friday morning.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action Mar. 5-12th at the Peggy Kirk Bell in Orlando, Fla.
