GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Nittany Lions are currently in 18th place out of the 18 teams competing in the Bryan National Collegiate. The team shot 47-over 335.

Recent transfer Victoria Arena made her first appearance with the team and, along with sophomore Katherine Murphy, currently leads the Nittany Lions. Freshman Brianna Malcolmson shot 12-over 84 to finish one stroke behind Arena and Murphy. Senior Christin Pacacha finished only one stroke behind Malcolmson.

Eight of the teams competing are ranked in the top 25 teams in the NCAA. No. 1 ranked Duke is currently in first place with an impressive team score of six-over 298. Steffi Kirchmayr from the College of Charleston shot three-under 69 placing her in first place going into the second round.

The second round will be held on Saturday, March 29.
