The senior¡¯s team-leading 18 goals (ranked 17th nationally), 11 assists, 47 points (12th ) and 120 shots established new career-highs for Legel, and her 120 shots were tops in the Big Ten.

Stoner¡¯s (Manheim, Pa.) Third-Team selection is the first national honor of her career, as she posted three goals to go along with her career-highs in assists (nine), points (15), shots (34) and game-winning goals (three). Each senior also received All-Mideast Region First-Team selections this season. Also winning First-Team All Region accolades were Amanda Eckert (Lititz, Pa.) and Annie Zinkavich (Kingston, Pa.). Juniors Karin Grap (Van Etten, NY) and Bekah Hostetler (Hershey, Pa.) nabbed Second-Team honors for the Nittany Lions.

For Zinkavich, it was her third consecutive All-Mideast Region honor, and her second First-Team selection (2001). The senior netminder won 18 games this season, while also recording eight shutouts and posting a career-best 137 saves for the season. Her 137 saves placed her 14th on the final national rankings.

Eckert received First-Team honors for the first time in her career, after being named to the Second-Team in 2002. The junior set career-highs in every offensive category, tallying eight goals, two assists, 18 points and 36 shots. She also tied a career-mark with her two game-winning goals this season.

The back anchored a defensive unit that gave up just 40 goals in 25 games this season; the 1.59 goals per game ranked the Penn State scoring defense 19th nationally.
