State College, Pa., October 29, 2001 - For the third time in four weeks, senior co-captain Kiley Kulina (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) earns Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, it was announced on Monday by the conference office. For the fifth-consecutive week, at least one Nittany Lion field hockey player has received the weekly honor.

Kulina led Penn State to three victories last week to boost the Nittany Lions' current win streak to eight games. She attempted a career-high 14 shots, scoring a pair of goals and notching an assist in the 3-0 win over Indiana in the regular-season finale. She also added a goal in the 5-1 rout of Pennsylvania.

The senior midfielder is tied for the team lead with 29 points, recording 12 goals and five assists.

Kulina shares this week's honor with Michigan State's Bridget Cooper. In the last five weeks, Kulina has been named Offensive Player of the Week three times, junior goalkeeper Annie Zinkavich (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) was selected Defensive Player of the Week twice and sophomore Neilye Stoner (Manheim, Pa./Hempfield) received Defensive Player of the Week laurels once. Zinkavich was also picked Defensive Player of the Week for the third week of the season.

The Nittany Lions head to the Big Ten Tournament on Nov. 2 where they will face fourth-seeded Iowa. Penn State finished the regular season in a tie of fourth but received the fifth seed in the conference tournament because the Hawkeyes defeated PSU 2-1 on Oct. 5. The game will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
