FH No. 5 in Latest NFHCA Poll

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. 
– The Penn State field hockey team checked in at the No. 5 spot in the latest  National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll, as released Tuesday morning.

Connecticut notched two more shutout wins last week as they ran their record to 11-0 on the season. The Huskies accumulated 1,222 points and 46 first-place votes to once again run away with the No. 1 ranking in the poll.

The rest of the top five includes two teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference in No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Virginia and a pair from the Big Ten Conference in No. 4 Michigan and No. 5 Penn State.

The bottom half of the top ten consists of No. 6 North Carolina, No. 7 Delaware, No. 8 Boston College, No. 9 Syracuse and No. 10 Northwestern.

Admission is free for all fans at Penn State Field Hockey Complex during the regular season.
