Penn State head field hockey coach Charlene Morett today announced the Nittany Lions' schedule for the upcoming 2008 season, which features a total of 18 regular season games, nine home and nine away, 10 of which will be against teams that qualified for last year's NCAA Tournament, eight that made the field of 16 and two that played in play-in games. Record 14 Nittany Lions Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad
After a season that saw one of the finest performances ever in the postseason for a Penn State field hockey squad, the Nittany Lion field hockey team had perhaps one of its finest ever seasons in the classroom as well as a school record 14 members of the field hockey team were named to the ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad. The NFHCA annually recognizes outstanding work in the classroom by members of field hockey teams throughout the country. Read More >>
