Nittany Lions Announce Addition of Natalie Buttinger to Field Hockey Program
Penn State head field hockey coach Charlene Morett announced on Wednesday the addition of freshman Natalie Buttinger to the program. Buttinger comes to Happy Valley from Kitchener, Ontario, where she was a multi-sport standout for the Resurrection Phoenix. Penn State Garners 72 Academic All-Big Ten Honorees
Seventy-two Nittany Lions student-athletes, representing seven fall sports, have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Penn State's 72 honorees brings the Lions' all-time total to 3,202 during the last 16 years. The total ranks first among all Big Ten institutions. Ohio State ranks second with 3,091. Read More >>

Four From Field Hockey Named to NFHCA All-Mideast Region Teams
Four Penn State field hockey players were named to the NFHCA All-Mideast Region Teams on Thursday following the Lions' strong finish to the season. Freshman Kelsey Amy (Sweet Valley, Pa.) and sophomore Jessica Longstreth (Richboro, Pa.) cracked the first team while seniors Laura Cahill (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Bethany Marvel (Newtown, Pa.) were named to the second team. The honor is the second of Marvel's career after also being named to the second team in 2008. Read More >>
