Lion Career
2007:First team NFHCA All-American for the second straight year and also named a first team womensfieldhockey.com All-American....Named first team NFHCA All-Mideast Region for the third straight year....Also named first team All-Big Ten for the third straight year and was also an Academic All-Big Ten selection for the third straight year....Played and started all but one game on the year and played and started all but two games in her career....Missed just her second career game vs. Bucknell (10-23)....Was named as one of CSTV's preseason top players in the country....Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on August 27 after recording five points in two games and helping Penn State knock off two top 10 teams in Old Dominion and Virginia, both on the road....One of two Penn State seniors named to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star game on Saturday, November 17 but did not play in the game due to Penn State advancing to the national championships game....Fifth on the team in points (17) and fourth in goals (6)....Also tied for third on the team in shots (43) and was second in shots on goal (32)....Recorded points in six straight games beginning 9-30 vs. Northwestern through 10-20 at Iowa, the longest points-scoring streak for a Nittany Lion player on the year....Also had assists in a stretch of three out of four games from 10-3 to 10-14....Team was 8-2 when she records a point....Played every minute of all four games in the NCAA Tournament with a stress fracture in her lower leg.

2005: Started all 21 games....Converted stroke against William & Mary (8-28) after scoreless double overtime....Scored one goal and had one assist against Connecticut (9-4)....Recorded three assists in three-game stretch from Sept. 9 to Sept. 14....Led the Nittany Lions to a 6-0 victory over West Chester (9-18) with two goals and an assist....Scored one goal against Northwestern (9-24)....Had one assist at Michigan (10-2)...Tallied one assist vs. Bucknell (10-18)....Tallied an assist as well as the game-winner in overtime at Indiana (10-28)....Scored once at UNC (10-30) to push game to OT ....Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week (10-31).
2004: Started all 19 games she played....Scored her first career goal on one shot vs. North Carolina (9-12)....Tallied one goal and one assist in the Lions' 4-0 win over Temple (9-15) for a season high three points....Recorded three shots vs. Lafayette (9-17)....Tallied one assist against Syracuse (9-22)....Registered three shots over two games vs. Princeton (9-28) and Indiana (10-2)....Notched an assist against West Chester (10-3)....Recorded her third goal and fourth assist of the season against Bucknell (10-26).
High School:
Named a Lebanon League All-Star from 2000-03....Selected as first team all-state from 2001-03....Earned first team Mid-East Regional All-America and first team All-America honors in 2002 and 2003....Competed in the National Futures Tournament and the Junior Olympics....Led Warwick to the 2000 PIAA State championship....Scored 35 career goals....Also competed in lacrosse and won the sectional championship in 2003.

"Kiersten is such an amazing player to watch. She has started all but one game since her freshmen year. She has dynamic stick skills and a second gear that she uses to deceptively eliminate opponents. More importantly she uses her passing skills to effectively set up teammates for scoring opportunities. She definitely catches the attention of our opponents as someone who can be dangerous wherever she is on the field. Her leadership as one of this year's captains will be another added asset to the strength of our team."
