HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time LVIAC First Team All-Star while playing for William Allen High School under head coach Karen Nilson...Racked up 72 goals and 33 assists for 177 career points as a four-year letter winner in field hockey...Earned Morning Call First Team All-Area twice, as well as the Outstanding Field Hockey Player Award in 2010 and 2011...Received the Special Recognition Award in 2010...Helped her team qualify for the PIAA Districts 2008-2011...Runner-up at the 2008 LVIAC Championship Final...Member of the decorated WC Eagles...A member of the 2011 USA Junior National Indoor Team and a 2011-12 Future's Elite Selection...Qualified for the 2011 National Future's Championship, as well as the 2011 Junior National Camp...Also was a member of the William Allen's swimming team...Graduated with honors in December 2011 and entered Penn State as a Green Shirt Recruit in January 2012.
PERSONAL: Born Bethany Abigail Lydia Mink on July 21, 1994 in Allentown, Pa...Parents are John Mink and Dawn and Dave Fridirici...Has two brothers, Nick (Penn State '05) and Nate (Penn State '11), and a sister, Gabby (Towson '08)...Sister, Gabby, played field hockey at Towson 2004-2007...Currently enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies...Volunteers with the Special Olympics, as well as with Motion and her church...Was a member of the student government and International Club in high school...Played the clarinet in her orchestra and was a member of the Community Music School.
