Seventy-Eight Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic All-Big Ten Accolades

Field Hockey team tops conference with 16 honorees; Big Ten Champion football team leads Nittany Lions with 19 recipients

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016: Scored one goal in the 6-2 win against Old Dominion (8/26)… Put up one shot in the 8-1 win against Temple ( 9/2)… Saw action in the 3-1 win against No. 9 Albany ( 9/4)... Saw action in the 2-0 win against Ohio State (10/06)... Saw action in the 4-1 win against Rutgers (10/21)... Saw action in the 3-2 win against Indiana (10/28)...Saw action in the 3-1 win against indana to advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament (11/03)...Saw action in the 1-0 win against Michigan to advance to the Championships of the Big Ten Tournament (11/04)... Saw action in the 2-1 win against Maryland to win the Big Ten Tournament (11/06)


AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015:
Saw action in 12 games, starting against Michigan State... Played a season high 35 minutes against both Princeton (10/4) and Maryland (10/9).  

HIGH SCHOOL:
Three-year letterwinner ... Team captain and team MVP in 2013 and 2014 ... Started every game from 2012-14, scoring 48 goals and tallying 15 assists ... Named first team all-state in 2013 .... Selected to the Big 15 Team in 2013 and 2014 ... Was a Mid-Penn All-Star in 2013 and 2014 ... Played club field hockey for Key State Field Hockey ... Helped Key State to a first place finish at nationals in 2014 and a third place finish at the Disney Showcase in 2014 ... Led her team to Keystone Games championships in 2013 and 2014 ... Four-year letterwinner in softball, receiving Mid-Penn All-Star recognition in 2014.

ON CHOOSING PENN STATE: "I chose Penn State because it is a well-known academic and athletic school. Penn State takes pride in who they are as a school and I could not see myself anywhere but there. To me, this school is already home. I could not be happier with my decision."
