ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.; November 13, 2006 ¨C Freshman Keri Byerts (Webster, N.Y.) finished second in the epee division this weekend at the NAC B Junior/Cadet/Youth competition in Albuquerque, N.M. She finished behind Kelley Hurley of southern Texas in a field of 134.

Byerts was one of three members of the Penn State Fencing team who competed this weekend. Freshman Daniel Bak (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) and sophomore Allison Glasser (Piedmont, California) also competed. They finished seventh and 31st, respectively.
