UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 26, 2007 - According to the most recent USFCA College Fencing Coaches Poll, the Penn State men's and women's fencing teams are both currently ranked number one. The men have improved from their previous ranking of third.

Most recently, the Nittany Lion fencers competed at Northwestern where they came back with a combined record of 9-1. The men finished the season with a record of 19-2. Their only losses came earlier in the season to Harvard and St. John's. The women finished the season 21-1, with their only loss being to Northwestern.
