UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women's fencing team will travel to Philadelphia this weekend to compete in the Temple Invitational, which will serve as the last dual meet of the regular season. The team will take on St. John's, Duke, Princeton, Penn, and host Temple (women only) on Saturday February 23.
The top-ranked men's team is looking to ride their recent success into Temple, including keeping their undefeated record in tact. The No. 1 Nittany Lions will have their work cut out for them as they face four other top-ten ranked teams: No. 3 Princeton, No. 5 St. John's, No. 8 Penn, and No. 10 Duke.
The fifth ranked Penn State women's team is looking to rebound off of a disappointing 2-3 finish at the Duke Invitational two weeks ago. The women will also face tough opponents in No. 2 Princeton, No. 6 St. John's, No. 9 Temple, No. 10 Penn, and No. 11 Duke.
The final regular season dual meet will serve as one of the toughest tests of the season for the Nittany Lions. NCAA Regionals are just two weeks away, and NCAA Championships are only a month away.
Full results from this Saturday's meet will be posted on gopsusports.com at the conclusion of the event.
