HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Emily comes to Penn State from Wayne, New Jersey. Prior to becoming a Nittany Lion, Vassoler fenced at the Espada Training Center under Head Coaches Christian Rivera and Roger Cummings. She was named to the First team All State in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Finishing out her high school career with a first place finish at the County Tournament, a second place finish at the District Tournament and a sixth place finish at the State Championships. Vassoler is looking to continue on the legacy of her sister,Caitlin, a former Nittany Lion fencer, who graduated in 2011.
