HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Sacksen fenced for the Ligonier Fencing Team and competed in the 2008 Junior Olympics. A competitive pentathlete (featuring shooting, fencing, swimming, and horseback riding and running), Sacksen is a member of the U.S. Junior National Team. She took second in the 2007 and 2008 Junior Nationals and competed in the Junior World Championships in Portugal and Egypt. Sacksen is the daughter of Joachim and Jennifer Sacksen and has three siblings, one of whom was an Olympian in 2008.
