LION CAREER:
2013-14: Nicole Glon became the women's team captain this year and fearlessly lead her team to a national championship. Glon had an impressive and active regular season, finishing 31-15. At Regionals, Glon placed 2nd in women's saber securing her a spot to compete at the national championship. She went on to finished 5th at nationals.
2012-13: As a junior, Glon proved to be a leader on the women's saber team and had her most successful season yet. Her eighth place finish at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional qualified her for a trip to the NCAA Championships. At the Championships, Glon won 15 of her bouts to finish in sixth place and earn an All-American status. The junior's regular season record was an outstanding 48-20. She had nine 3-0 performances that came against Sacred Heart, Vassar, Harvard, UNC, Temple (twice), UPenn, Notre Dame, and Princeton. Glon also placed first in women's saber at this year's Garret Open.
2011-12: Glon had a very strong Sophomore campaign, ending in a 9th place finish at the 2012 NCAA Championships. For her efforts, she was named an Honorable Mention All-American and defeated 13 opponents at the championships. She went 27-22 during the regular season to qualify for the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional, where she placed 2nd to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships. Glon went 3-0 against Vassar, while going 2-1 against Harvard, Notre Dame, North Carolina(1/21), Temple(1/28), Penn, Duke, St. John's, and Princeton. She also went 2-0 against North Carolina(1/28) and 1-0 against Sacred Heart and Vassar.
2010-11: Glon went 25-16 in her freshman campaign. Glon qualified for the NCAA Championship and finished 17th after defeating 8 of her opponents. Glon went 3-0 in the regular season against Ohio State, Drew, UNC, Boston College, Brown.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Glon enters Penn State as a former member of the 2010 Junior National Team. The year prior, she took home 3rd place as a cadet on the National Team.
