A native of Maalot, Israel, Anastasia Ferdman heads into her senior season after claiming the NCAA Title in women's epee last March. Ferdman earned her third All-America honor. Her .854 career win percentage ranks sixth all-time for Penn State women's epee fencers.

LION CAREER:
2008-09: Ferdman earned her third straight All-America honor last year and turned a near-perfect season into an NCAA individual crown last year here at Penn State. Ferdman posted a superb 31-4 dual meet record and then claimed the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional crown before her NCAA title winning run at Penn State's Multi-Sport facility in March.

2007-08: Ferdman continued her dominance in epee competition last season. She defended her Mid-Atlantic/South Regional crown by finishing in first place and earning her second consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. The two-time ALL-American posted a 33-7 overall record in dual match play. In addition, Ferdman was crowned epee division champion at the 2007 Penn State Garret Open.

2006-07: Ferdman was simply outstanding as a freshman. She led both men's and women's teams with 53 dual match wins (and posted a superb .855 winning percentage in the process). Ferdman won the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional title and placed fourth at nationals to earn All-American honors as a true freshman. Ferdman posted dual match records of 12-2, 17-3, 14-0 and 10-4.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Ferdman is an experienced international fencer who has placed as high as third at the Junior World Championships. She fenced for the Maccabi Maalot Fencing club and is a graduate of Ort Maalot High School.
