Career Statistics
A native of Maalot, Israel, Anastasia Ferdman heads into her junior season looking to claim her third All-America honor and make a run at the national title in women's epee. Last March, she finished sixth at the NCAA Championships at Ohio State. Her .843 career win percentage ranks sixth all-time for Penn State women's epee fencers. Lion Career: 2007-08: Ferdman continued her dominance in epee competition last season. She defended her Mid-Atlantic/South Regional crown by finishing in first place and earning her second consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. The two-time ALL-American posted a 33-7 overall record in dual match play. In addition, Ferdman was crowned epee division champion at the 2007 Penn State Garret Open.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Ferdman is an experienced international fencer who has placed as high as third at the Junior World Championships. She fenced for the Maccabi Maalot Fencing club and is a graduate of Ort Maalot High School.
