Senior Epee
A native of Maalot, Israel, Anastasia Ferdman heads into her senior season after claiming the NCAA Title in women's epee last March. Ferdman earned her third All-America honor. Her .854 career win percentage ranks sixth all-time for Penn State women's epee fencers. LION CAREER:
2007-08: Ferdman continued her dominance in epee competition last season. She defended her Mid-Atlantic/South Regional crown by finishing in first place and earning her second consecutive NCAA Championship appearance. The two-time ALL-American posted a 33-7 overall record in dual match play. In addition, Ferdman was crowned epee division champion at the 2007 Penn State Garret Open. 2006-07: Ferdman was simply outstanding as a freshman. She led both men's and women's teams with 53 dual match wins (and posted a superb .855 winning percentage in the process). Ferdman won the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional title and placed fourth at nationals to earn All-American honors as a true freshman. Ferdman posted dual match records of 12-2, 17-3, 14-0 and 10-4. HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Ferdman is an experienced international fencer who has placed as high as third at the Junior World Championships. She fenced for the Maccabi Maalot Fencing club and is a graduate of Ort Maalot High School. |
