Sophomore Olivia Benedek earned a starting spot in the women's saber division during her freshman year. The State College-native posted a 23-11 record and hopes to regain her starting position this season.

LION CAREER:
2008-09: Benedek emerged as a starter at the beginning of the season in the saber for Penn State and went on to post a solid 23-11 record in dual matches. She did not place at regionals.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Bendedek spent her pre-collegiate career fencing for the Peter Westbrook Fencing Club. During her time there, she was a member of the 2007 Team Senior Women's National Champion team. She is a LSER major here at Penn State.
