Basketball is a passion for Wasielewski, who has blended her business expertise and basketball knowledge into a career in the sport that has spanned over 20 years as a student-athlete and a coach. A bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northwestern University led her into the business world, but her passion for the sport kept her connected to basketball.

A four-year letter winner at Northwestern, she helped the Wildcats to their only Big Ten championship. After graduation, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for 10 years, before moving on to work for Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado. While in Colorado, Wasielewski returned to the hardwood in a variety of roles in prep basketball from 2005-12, and then transitioned into collegiate basketball as an assistant coach at MSU Denver during the 2012-13 season.

Following one season at MSU Denver, Wasielewski was hired at Loyola University Chicago, where she spent three seasons, including two as the head assistant. During her time with the Ramblers, she was charged with offensive strategies, opponent scouting, monitoring academics, organizing recruiting efforts and coaching the guards. During her final season at Loyola, Wasielewski tutored first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference guard Taylor Johnson and was a part of one of the top scoring offenses in the conference.
