UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State Department of Athletics has announced that 200 tickets to Penn State wrestling's non-conference dual at Iowa on Dec. 21 will go on sale next week. A limited number of tickets will be made available for purchase on a special schedule. Head coach Cael Sanderson's Nittany Lion wrestling team is off to an undefeated start to the season and is ranked No. 1 nationally.
The sale begins next Tuesday and runs through Friday. Wrestling season ticket holders who are also Nittany Lion Club members will have first shot at the tickets on Tuesday, Dec. 3. All other Nittany Lion Club members can then purchase beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Season ticket holders that are not members of the Nittany Lion Club will be able to purchase tickets beginning on Thursday, Dec. 5, followed by the general public's ability to buy tickets on Friday, Dec. 6.
It is important to note that this limited allotment is subject to availability and the tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. All sales will take place between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on each day during the schedule and once they are gone, the sale will end. Tickets can be bought by calling 1-800-NITTANY or by visiting the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office during those hours. Fans in each specific group will be able to purchase tickets online through their respective Ticketmaster accounts via a link they will receive via email prior to the sale. Because the tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis, fans are reminded that the online sale is the most expedient way to purchase the tickets.
The schedule, again, is as follows (note, if you can purchase on Tuesday, you may purchase on Wednesday, etc.):
Tuesday, 12/3: Wrestling season ticket holders who are ALSO Nittany Lion Club Members
Wednesday, 12/4: All other Nittany Lion Club members
Thursday, 12/5: Wrestling season ticket holders who are NOT Nittany Lion Club Members
Friday, 12/6: General Public
The Penn State/Iowa dual is set for 8 p.m. Central (9 p.m. Eastern) in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Penn State improved to 3-0 on the year with a 34-6 win over Lock Haven on Sunday, Nov. 24. The dual was wrestled in front of Penn State's 12th-straight sell-out crowd in Rec Hall. Penn State returns to action when it travels to Boston University for a 7 p.m. dual meet on Friday, Dec. 6. The Lions then trek right home for a Sunday showdown in the Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State will entertain Pittsburgh on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. Tickets can still be purchased via ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-NITTANY.
With the full season of Rec Hall duals sold out prior to the start of the campaign, a very limited number of standing room only tickets are available to a few of the remaining Rec Hall duals. People may purchase tickets by calling 1-800-NITTANY or by visiting the Penn State Athletics ticket office located in the BJC.
