Nittany Lions Moore & Cummins Advance to NCAA Wrestling Finals

ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 19, 2004 -- Penn State senior standouts Josh Moore and Pat Cummins have advanced to the finals at the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Moore, the No. 6 seed at 133 pounds, defeated No. 7 Darrel Vaquez of Cal Poly by a 5-4 count in the semifinals. Moore (44-7) will meet No. 5 Zach Roberson of Iowa State in Saturday night's final.

Cummins, the No. 2 seed at heavyweight, beat No. 3 Matt Feast of Pennsylvania, 3-2, in the semifinals. Cummins (38-4) will face top-seeded Tommy Rowlands of Ohio State in the final.

Penn State is one of just four schools with multiple finalists on Saturday. The NCAA Wrestling finals will be carried live at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. WRSC Radio (1390) in State College will begin its coverage at 6:05 p.m. ET.
