Phipps placed fifth, third, second and first at Grove City High School. He left GCHS with a superb 144-14 record. 11 of those losses came as a high school freshman. Nationally, he was Freshman Nationals runner-up, placed third at Junior Nationals and on the Dapper Dan squad as well. Phipps was a four-year letterman at running back, was a first team All-State selection on the gridiron and was the PIAA District 10 Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year. He is the son of Sandy and Ed Phipps and is planning on majoring in Criminal Justice. |
