Lions continue rugged road swing with two more ranked foes

Sophomore Seth Beitz is ready to continue the growth he showcased last year in a 20-6 season. Beitz was very successful in open tournaments and was a key part of Penn State's dual meet season as well.

2011-12:
Went 20-6 in open tournaments, including winning the title at the Laker Open in November...went 7-1 at the Nittany Lion Open for fifth...notched 10 majors, four tech falls and seven pins...red-shirt in `10-11.

High School/Personal:
Beitz did his high school wrestling at Juniata High School, where he earned PIAA Runner-Up status at 140 in 2010. Beitz went 44-8 on his way to the finals that year and left Juniata with a 154-31 career record. He is the son of Rusty and Donna Beitz with two brothers, Zack, a freshman on this year's team and Derek.
