One point, just one point can be what a wrestler focuses on during the long hot summers that occur between wrestling seasons. By all accounts, Dave Rella had an outstanding freshman campaign. He emerged in the Nittany Lion starting line-up as a true freshman. He posted over 20 wins, he had three wins in Big Ten duals. But in the end, the talented and firey Nittany Lion 165-pounder used a one-point loss in the seventh place bout at Big Tens last year as his motivation during the off-season. Rella heads into the new campaign determined and driven to not only earn a trip to nationals, but to take advantage with an All-America tag. His abilities were evident throughout his rookie campaign and his hard work over the summer make him one to watch as the 2007-08 campaign gets underway.
