Sophomore Kyle Moran is coming off a solid red-shirt season a year ago and heads into the 2012-13 season looking to battle for a spot among Penn State's lighter weights. Moran wrestled in three open tournaments a year ago, winning one, and looks to build upon that experience in the new year.

Went 8-2 in open tournaments...posted 4-1 mark at ESU Open on 11/12...perfect 4-0 run at 141 to win Laker Open crown on 11/19...went 0-1 at Nittany Lion Open on 12/4...had three majors...First Team Academic All-Big Ten.

Moran came to Penn State after a solid career at Oxford High School in Oxford, Pa. Moran went 29-9 as a senior at 135 and posted a 106-55 career record for the Hornets. Moran also competed at Flo Nationals, posting an impressive fifth place finish. He is the son of Scott and Lisa Moran.
