Lions and Scarlet Knights set for 1 p.m. battle in the RAC
Junior Andrew Church heads into the 2011-12 season with over 30 career wins. Church will look to continue to excel in the middle weights for Penn State and could see action at either 174 or 184. An outstanding student, Church is an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Lion Career 2011-12: Church grabbed over 20 wins in `11-12, going 23-12...took second at Clarion Open on 11/6...5-2 at ESU Open on 11/6...3-1 at Laker Open on 11/19...4-2 at Nittany Lion Open on 12/4...3-2 at Hitchcock Memorial on 1/15...3-2 at `Boro Open on 2/11...closed out season with 2-2 performance at National Collegiate Open on 2/26.
2010-11: 174-pounder moving up to 184...stepping in for injured All-American Quentin Wright at 184...making his Penn State team-scored tournament debut at the Southern Scuffle on 12/29-30...went 3-2 at 174 at the W&J Open on 11/13...went 1-2 at 174 at the ESU Open on 11/20...went 0-1 at the Nittany Lion Open at 174 on 12/5...went 0-2 at 184 at the Southern Scuffle on 12/29...went 0-2 at 184 at Virginia Duals on 1/7-8...went 2-1 at Edinboro Open on 2/12.
