Penn State and Rec Hall will host the 2009 Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Men's Volleyball Championship on Thursday and Saturday, April 30 and May 2. The top-seeded and defending national champion Nittany Lions (25-3) will face fifth-seed George Mason (14-15), who defeated both Harvard and Springfield to advance to the EIVA Semifinals. Second-seed Juniata (17-7) will square off with third-seed Saint Francis (15-14), who outlasted Princeton in five games to advance to the EIVA Semifinals.

Juniata and Saint Francis will kick off EIVA Semifinal action on Thursday, April 30 at 4:30 p.m. ET at Rec Hall while Penn State and George Mason will follow at 7:30 p.m. ET. The winners of each of the semifinal matches play for the EIVA Championship on Saturday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Rec Hall.
