State College, Pa. - The Penn State volleyball team announced today that Ryan Fisher has signed a national letter of intent to join the Nittany Lions. Fisher, a 6' 4" outside hitter from York, Pa., attends York Suburban High School. Fisher, playing under York Suburban coach Bob Laird, was named First Team All-State in 2000. He was also named 2000 York County Player-of-the-Year and was a 2000 Junior Olympic All-American. "He's been one of the best players in the state the last three years," assistant coach Dennis Hohenshelt said. "We expect him to be the best outside hitter in the state this year. He's strong and physical for his age and we look for him to make an immediate impact at Penn State."
