STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Jan. 22, 2002 -- Penn State has been chosen to host the 2002 NCAA Men's Volleyball National Collegiate Championship May 2-4 at Rec Hall. Two semifinal games will be held at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2. The National Championship match will take place on Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 pm.

Penn State Alumni To Host Golf Outing Around National Championship
On Friday, May 3, the Penn State Men's Volleyball Alumni will be hosting a golf tournament at the University's White Course. This event is open to all alumni, parents, coaches, fans and friends of volleyball visiting State College the weekend of the Men's Volleyball National Championship.
The format for the golf event will be a scramble and the entry fee for the event is $75 per person for parents, coaches and fans of the participating teams and for persons who submit their registration and fee on or before April 1, 2002. Late entries will be accepted to the extent space is available at a price of $95 per person. Foursomes may be registered prior to April 1 for the discounted price of $280. The price includes golf, a cart, lunch, team and individual skill prizes.
Proceeds benefit Penn State Men's Volleyball. To reserve your place in the tournament, send your check payable to PENN STATE MEN'S VOLLEYBALL BOOSTER CLUB to Frank Guadagnino, 435 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 with your name, shirt size and golf handicap (or reasonable approximation thereof).
