Free CATA Bus Shuttle Available For NCAA Men's Volleyball Fans
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., May 1, 2002 - Fans attending the NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship Thursday and Saturday will be provided free shuttle bus service to and from Rec Hall on the Centre Area Transportation Authority's LINK buses, under extended service hours provided by CATA and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. CATA's LINK buses will provide continuous service Thursday until midnight and Saturday from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. The LINK buses make complete continuous loops from the Jordan Center east parking lot (Lot 44) to the West campus turnaround near the White Course Drive in a 13-minute cycle, and the extended hours of operation will provide volleyball fans with convenient and efficient serve to the championship venue. Visitors should park in the west campus parking lot off White Course Drive, parking lot 80, or in parking lot 44 to meet the LINK bus at scheduled stops. LINK buses and stops will be clearly identified with NCAA Volleyball signs. The NCAA semifinal games Thursday feature Ball State against Pepperdine at 6 p.m in Rec Hall, followed by the Penn State-Hawaii matchup at 8 p.m. The winners meet for the national championship Saturday at 7 p.m.
