State College, Pa., April 26, 2000 --- The No. 15 Penn State men's volleyball team will be looking for its 12th EIVA Conference title this week when it hosts the 2000 EIVA Championship this Thursday, April 27 and Saturday, April 29 at Rec Hall.

The No. 1 seed Nittany Lions will host No. 4 seed New Jersey Tech in the second semifinal on Thursday slated for a 7:30 p.m. start. No. 2 seed Concordia will battle No. 3 Rutgers-Newark beginning at 4:30 p.m. The winners of each semifinal match will advance to Saturday's (April 29) championship and play for an automatic berth in the NCAA Men's Volleyball Final Four which will be held in Fort Wayne, Ind., beginning Thursday, May 4.

Penn State advanced to the semifinals with a 3-0 win over Harvard in quarterfinal action last Saturday at Rec Hall. The Lions are 18-13 overall this season and 14-0 in EIVA Tait Division play. Penn State recorded an unblemished record of 6-0 against the three other semifinalists during the regular season.
