Men's Volleyball Earns February EIVA Rallies! Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's volleyball team (13-3, 6-1) has earned the February "EIVA Rallies! Award," as announced by conference commissioner Ivan Marquez. The monthly award is presented to the EIVA team with the highest attendance during the months of February, March and April.
The Nittany Lions averaged 594 fans during home matches throughout the month of February to lead all teams in the league. Princeton followed closely behind with an average of 472 fans to finish second.
This year's 2014 EIVA Rallies! Award will be based on fan attendance. Throughout the duration of the campaign, the team with the highest number of fans at each match will be recognized with the monthly "EIVA Rallies! Award." At the conclusion of the season, the team with the most fans per match for the entire season will win the 2014 EIVA Rallies! Award.
Commissioner Marquez will present the 2014 EIVA Rallies! Award to the winning school at the EIVA Championship, which is set for Saturday, April 26th. Marquez is a seven-year survivor who has benefited from the care and treatment of the staff at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

No. 12 Penn State will host non-conference foe No. 14 Ohio State this evening in a Big Ten battle at St. John Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m. The Big Ten Network will re-air the matchup Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. with Mike Wolf and Ray Gooden on the call.
