Trio Earns All-EIVA Honors

Gear, McLaren and Mende each earn nod to the 2018 All-EIVA squads

2017 (Redshirt Freshman): Had four kills against No.2 UCLA (1/6)... Had 25 kills against USC (1/7)... Played in 100 sets this season... Recorded a career high 29 kills versus Princeton hitting .659 (2/11)...   Earned first team All-EIVA honors as well as honorable mention All-American honors... Finished the season with 325 kills, nine assists, 116 digs and 81 blocks

Prepped at Redlands High School where he was a two-sport athlete, lettering in both volleyball and water polo … Earned all-conference accolades three times and garnered San Bernadino Sun All-County First Team twice … Notched team MVP honors as well as Citrus Belt League MVP team accolades in his senior season … Capped off his senior campaign being named First Team All-CIF and Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 Recruits in the Country … Was a two-time captain in volleyball and water polo … Named Inland Empire Player of Year for water polo in 2014 … Was a four-year honor roll member … Grabbed CBAADA Athlete of the Year honors in his season year … Is an Eagle Scout and a member of student government.
