Men's Tennis to Participate in ITA Kick-Off Weekend Tournament
The Penn State men's tennis team was recently invited to participate in the second annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kick-Off Weekend tournament. The Nittany Lions were assigned to be the third seed in the Florida bracket and will face second-seeded Georgia Tech in the first round of the tourney. The other teams in the Florida bracket include the host Gators and Furman. ITA Kick-Off Weekend will take place from Jan. 29-31, 2010. Read More >>
Assistant Coach Dan Holman to Leave Men's Tennis Program After Four Seasons
Penn State men's tennis assistant coach Dan Holman will be leaving the program after four successful seasons. Holman has accepted a new position at Westport Club in Denver, N.C. He will serve as the Director of Tennis. Read More >>
Slagter Named Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree
Senior Adam Slagter (Austin, Texas) was named the 2009 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Winner for Penn State this week. This is the first time Slagter has won the award for the Nittany Lions. Last year, senior Brendan Lynch (North Potomac, Md.) garnered the award. Read More >>
Nittany Lion Tennis Falls to Illinois in Quarterfinals of Big Ten Tournament, 4-0
Following a nice 4-0 victory over Purdue in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday, the Penn State men's tennis team was eliminated from competition in a 4-0 loss to the Illinois Fighting Illini on Friday. Read More >>
