Adam Pierce Named Diver of the Week for Second Time this Season

State College, Pa. - November 9, 2005 - Penn State¡¯s Adam Pierce was named Diver of the Week today for the second time this season. The accolade comes after Penn State¡¯s decisive win over La Salle at home this past Friday.

Pierce won the one-meter diving event with a score of 348.52 before taking the three-meter event with a score of 355.65. He was previously named Diver of the Week for his wins in the three-meter event against West Virginia in the Nittany Lions' home opener at McCoy Natatorium.

Pierce and the rest of the men¡¯s swimming team will be back in action this weekend in Charlottesville, Va against defending national champs Auburn, defending SEC champs Virginia and Purdue. They will compete Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Lions return to Penn State to take on West Chester on November 22nd at 3 p.m.
