STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving programs splash into the season both at home and away this weekend.

Tomorrow both the men's and women's teams will compete at home in a quad-meet against three other Pennsylvania teams: West Chester, Bucknell and Villanova. The morning session is slated for 10 a.m., and will be followed by the evening session beginning at 3 p.m. in Penn State's McCoy Natatorium.

Selected elite swimmers from the women's team were chosen to travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the prestigious Continental Airlines Classic ending tomorrow afternoon. Last year Penn State placed second overall with 206 points at the meet.

Following this week's action, both teams will compete at the University of Virginia on Sunday, November 18 at 1 p.m.
