UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; October 31, 2005- Penn State senior Adam Pierce (Conroe, Tx.) was named Big Ten Diver of the Week after Penn State¡¯s season opening win against West Virginia at McCoy Natatorium last week. Pierce won the 3-meter diving event to open competition for the Lions. Pierce excelled on the 3 meter last season, competing in the Big Ten Championships as well as the NCAA Diving championships. Pierce¡¯s win in the event helped Penn State to a decisive 165.5-67.5 victory.

Pierce and the rest of the Nittany Lions will face La Salle at McCoy Natatorium on November 4th at 3 p.m.
