State College, Pa., October 25, 2000 - The Penn State men's swimming and diving team has announced its schedule for the 2000-2001 season. The season opens this weekend with a Friday afternoon dual meet at Villanova. The Nittany Lions will then return home to participate in the Big Cat Invitational at the McCoy Natatorium on Saturday and Sunday.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 1999-2000 season where they finished third at Big Ten Championships and 19th at NCAA Championships. Their finish at NCAA's marked the best finish in school history. The Lions are returning 24 of the 33 team members returning from a year ago.
