UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; April. 14, 2006 ¨C Junior Mike Alderman (Arlington, Va.) is set to compete at the U.S. Open Diving Championships April 17-23 in Indianapolis, Ind. The event will take place in the Indiana University Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Alderman was named to the First Team All-Big Ten for his first place finish in the 1-meter diving final after the first night of Big Ten Championship competition. He placed first with a score of 354.45. He also collected Academic All-Big Ten and Academic All-American accolades for the 2005-06 season. Alderman finished third in the 1-meter diving final at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in March and finished sixth in the 3-meter.
