UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Mar. 23, 2005) - Senior Marc Gastaldo (Winslow, Maine) and junior Adam Pierce (Conroe, Texas) will be two of 55 Big Ten student-athletes to represent the conference when the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships get underway 1 p.m. Thursday at the University Aquatics Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

Gastaldo and Pierce will both compete on the 1- and 3-meter diving boards at the NCAA Championships, which will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Pierce won the Zone A 3-meter diving title on Mar. 12, with a score of 544.05, and Gastaldo finished second in the event with 538.90.
