STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Senior Penn State diver Steve Bohner (Lansdale, Pa.) was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week for his achievements last week.

In the final home dual meet of his Penn State career, Bohner won both the one-meter and three-meter springboard events helping the Nittany Lions defeat Rutgers 157-84. His scores of 351.30 in the one-meter and 337.50 in the three-meter were NCAA qualifying marks and season highs. Bohner outdistanced second place by over 30 points in both events.

Penn State has now had a male or female swimmer/diver earn Big Ten honors for three straight weeks. Erin Mulshenock (New Castle, Del.) and Deirdre Dlugonski (Washington. Pa.) were the other recipients.

The Nittany Lions will next compete at the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington, Indiana. The meet is set to begin on February 28.
