Time Change Announced For Swim Meet Versus Rutgers




UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. (Jan. 20, 2005) - The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving team has announced a time change for Saturday's dual meet versus Rutgers at McCoy Natatorium.

Due to the weather forecast, the Nittany Lions and Scarlet Knights will begin competition at 11 a.m. instead of 1 p.m. at McCoy Natatorium. Attendance to the event is free to the public. Penn State marketing and promotions will be doing a water golf competition during one of the breaks for a chance to win football season tickets for next season. All water golf contestants will receive a prize.

The 14th-ranked Penn State women will honor 11 student-athletes in their final home competition of the season on Senior Day against Rutgers. Deirdre Dlugonski (Washington, Pa.), Jennifer Eberst (Clifton Park, N.Y.), Meredith Holman (Inman, S.C.), Larissa Kavchock (Emmaus, Pa,), Corey Pagnotta (Westport, Conn.), Alison Riccobono (Ypsilanti, Mich.), Lauren Semchyshen (New Fairfield, Conn.), Sara Shepherd (Nazareth, Pa.), Kerry Smith (Havertown, Pa.), Courtney Stanchock (Bloomsburg, Pa.) and Kristen Woodring (Sinking Spring, Pa.) will all compete in their final home competitions.

Both the Nittany Lion men and women enter the competition with dual meet records of 3-1 on the season. The Rutgers women are 6-0, while the men are 5-1.
