2007-08: Jack primarily competed in the 500 freestyle and 200 butterfly. His best finish came against Indian River C.C. in the 400 medley relay where he and the team clocked in at third place. He also had four Top 5 finishes in the 200 butterfly. High School: Swam for four years on the varsity swimming team at Hampton High School in Allison Park, Pa....Was a three-time WPIAL champion....Set the WPIAL record in the 200 free as a junior and was named an All-American....Also was an All-American as a senior and a silver medalist at the PIAA meet....Also set the school record in the 200 free....Was the team MVP as a freshman....A member of both the high honor roll and the student-athlete leadership academy. Personal: Jack was born on July 10, 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pa.....The son of Thomas and Cathleen Zierenberg, he also has a younger sister, Kate (12)....His father also attended Penn State....Plans to major in biology....Lists playing golf as a hobby.
