LION CAREER 2011-12: Competed in three events at the Big Ten Championship, recording personal best times in the 100 free (46.33), 200 free (1:38.91) and the 500 free (4:35.23)...Also a member of the 800 freestyle relay team at the Big Tens, finishing ninth with a season best of 6:28.99...Time nearly topped the Penn State school record of 6:28.11 set at the 2011 Big Ten Championships... Earned a second place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:43.35 against Buffalo (2/3/12).
BEFORE PENN STATE At Tennessee 2009-10: Competed for the Volunteers his freshman season... Set season bests in the 200 freestyle (1:41.69) and 500 freestyle (4:35.39) at the Tennessee Invitational...Notched a season best time of 1:55.00 in the 200 fly at the Tennessee Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL
Swam for the Virginia Gators club team coached by Doug Fonder and Korey McCulley...Reached the USA Senior Nationals as a qualifier as well as the USA Junior Nationals...Earned a spot in the USA 2009 World Championship trials...Coached by Amy Briel at Christansburg High...Holds school records in every event, while leading team as captain for four seasons...
