Nittany Lions hunt for first Big Ten Championship since 1999
LION CAREER 2011-12: Competed in nine events as a sophomore, seeing the most action in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly...Recorded personal best times in the 50 free (20.25), earning 21st place in the C final, the 100 free (44.89) and the 100 fly (49.25) at the Big Ten Championships...Was a member of the first-place 200 medley relay squad, finishing with a time of 1:31.33 against Georgia Tech (11/5/11)...Member of the 400 free relay team that defeated Indiana and Virginia by .20 seconds with a time of 3:03.23 (11/19/11)... Helped lead the 400 free relay team to a season best of 3:00.22 to qualify for the NCAA "B" Cut at the Ohio State Invitational...Earned a first place finish in the 50 free with a time of 21.26 seconds (11/4/11)...Also a member of the 200 free medley team that earned first place with a time of 1:24.19 against Auburn (11/4/11)...Along with the 200 medley relay squad, finished the circuit in a time of 1:29.38 for a first place finish against Navy...Swimming against Buffalo, won the 50 free (20.66) and the 100 free (43.38), and was a member of the 200 freestyle relay team, winning with a time of 1:22:15...Also a member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team with a time of 3:02.25 against Lehigh (2/4/12).
2010-11: Competed in four events at the Big Ten Championships (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle relay)...Swam 1:21.12 to place eighth in the 200 freestyle relay at the Big Ten Championships... Placed third in the 50 freestyle against Buffalo (2/4/11) with a time of 21.41...Swam 1:22.94 to place first against Buffalo in the 200 freestyle relay.
HIGH SCHOOL
Finished third at the 2009 PIAA Championship in the 100 free and finished in fifth-place at the 2010 PIAA Championship...Member of four-time conference champions at La Salle College under Frank Lichtner...Seven-time All-American...Earned All-State honors in the 50 and 100 free, as well as the 200 and 400 free relays...Named 2009-10 Scholastic All-American... Competed at the Southern Region Sectionals and Junior Nationals in 2008 and 2009.
