Nittany Lions break three McCoy Natatorium pool records
BEFORE PENN STATE At Maryland 2011-12: Top five competitor for Maryland in the 200 back (1:47.83) and 400 IM (4:03.94)...Finished 19th in the 200 back (1:47.83) at the 2012 ACC Championships...Finished fifth in the 400 IM (4:04.10), 14th in the 100 back (52.00) and ninth in the 200 back (1:49.98) at the Terrapin Cup.
HIGH SCHOOL Lettered in swimming all four years at Don Bosco Preparatory...Named All-Conference and holds four high school records...Also swam for the New York Sharks under head coach Don Wagner...Named Scholastic All-American and Speedo Sectional Finalist...National qualifier his junior and senior years.
PERSONAL Born Ryan Magee on Jan. 6, 1993 in Suffern, N.Y. to Ursula and Thomas Magee...Has three brothers, Dylan, Sean and Aiden...Petroleum and natural gas engineering major...Plans on pursuing a career in engineering and starting his own business...Avid fisherman and skier.
