Penn State Men's Soccer Team Set To Open Final Homestand
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2004) - The No. 20 Penn State men's soccer team will begin its final homestand when it plays host to Big Ten rival Ohio State 2 p.m. Sunday at Jeffrey Field. The contest against the Buckeyes is the first of four home games, which also consists of Bucknell (Oct. 20), Michigan State (Oct. 24) and Cornell (Oct. 27). The final four regular season home games can all be attended for free. They can also be followed live on Gametracker at www.GoPSUsports.com. The Nittany Lions come into Sunday's game with a 6-2-5 overall mark, but they are 0-2-1 in conference tilts. They are hoping to snap an eight game Big Ten winless streak against the Buckeyes. Penn State's offense has scored nine goals in its past three games. Ohio State enters the game at 5-4-1 overall. The Buckeyes, who are 2-0 in Big Ten games, are 2-0-1 in their past three games.
