Penn State Fall Olympic Sports To Appear On Big Ten Network 12 Times

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Four Penn State Olympic sports will be represented this fall on the Big Ten Network. Men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey and women's volleyball will be showcased in at least 12 contests during the regular season beginning in September.
Men's soccer will be featured at Jeffrey Field against Bucknell on Sept. 7 and will take to the road to face Northwestern on the Network on Oct. 4.
Field hockey, national runners-up a year ago, will take on Ohio State on Sept. 28 in Columbus, Ohio, and will also square off against Iowa at home on Oct. 10 in televised contests.
The 10-time defending Big Ten champion women's soccer team will be featured in two Network contests, meeting up with Notre Dame at home on Sept. 21 and hosting Wisconsin on Oct. 5.
Women's volleyball, the defending NCAA and Big Ten champions, will have six Big Ten Network matches and also have a contest on ESPN2. On the Network, the Nittany Lions visit Indiana on Oct. 1, host Michigan State on Oct. 4, travel to Minnesota on Oct. 11, host Indiana on Nov. 5, take on Purdue in West Lafayette on Nov. 15 and welcome Wisconsin on Nov. 22, with the possibility of another wildcard match the weekend of Nov. 28-29. Penn State and Wisconsin will square off in Madison on Friday, Oct. 24 in a match that will air on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
