UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Jan. 20, 2004) - Penn State men's soccer players Gabe Bernstein (Maplewood, N.J.) and Anthony Calvano (Haymark, Va.) have been selected to the 2003 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-East Region Honorable Mention Team.

Bernstein, a junior and Letters, Arts & Sciences major, captained a young Nittany Lions squad this past fall that posted a 9-10-1 campaign en route to a second-place finish at the Big Ten Tournament. Bernstein had one goal and one assist while playing midfield in all 20 games.

Calvano, an Elementary Education major, started all 20 games this season as a gritty junior defender and had one assist.
