Men's Lacrosse Begins Fall Practice
Sept. 14, 2011
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's lacrosse team began its second season under head coach Jeff Tambroni on Monday with the start of fall practice.
The Nittany Lions, who went 7-7 and qualified for the CAA tournament in 2011, returned 24 letter-winners while welcoming 13 newcomers to the squad.
During the fall campaign, Penn State will compete four times, beginning with an intrasquad scrimmage Sept. 30 during alumni weekend. The Nittany Lions will conclude the weekend's activities Oct. 1 when they welcome back former players for an alumni game.
Two weekends later, Penn State will wrap up competition at the Play for Parkinson's Series Oct. 15. At the tournament, the Nittany Lions will face off against Army and Johns Hopkins.
